Trax and Temple Square

Two days before Christmas we took a trip to Salt Lake to visit temple square and see the lights. We parked in Sandy so we could take the Trax train the rest of the way to Salt Lake City. We wanted the kids to have a chance to ride the train, we knew that they would like that and it would be fun for them. Connor especially had fun and was so excited! My Brother Scott and his family went with us and we all had a great time.
This is us at Temple Square. It was FREEZING!! Our walk around temple square didn't last very long because everybody got too cold. The lights were beautiful, as always though, and we enjoyed being there.

Connor, me and Keaton riding Trax.

Connor loved riding the train. He had his face pressed up against the window the whole ride. It was so cute to see him get excited and have this new experience.

Jace and Connor being cheezy.

Cousin Rachel and Marlie having fun on the train.

My brother Scott and his wife Katie and and 3 of their 4 kids. Grant, Jacob and Kimball. We were so happy that they went with us to Temple Square. It was fun to be with them. They were good sports and went to Applebee's with us afterwards even though it was late and the kids were tired. It was a long day for the little ones but all of us had fun!

Ward Christmas Party

Thank goodness I am not the activities leader anymore! My friend Heather is though and I couldn't let her stress out out alone. I didn't do a whole lot but I helped paint all of the trees that decorated the room. Our friend Gina is a digital scrapbook designer, very talented. She designed the trees and the rest of us cut and painted. It was fun hanging out with my girlfriends until 1:30 am at the church, painting!
The party was a success, Good job Heather!

Cute decorations!
Connor didn't want any of the 25+ soups. He just wanted the bread bowl!
Lots of yummy soups.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Frozen Dinners

I belong to this great dinner club! Once a month we meet and exchange frozen dinners. Each person makes 10 of the same meal and freezes them. When we meet we exchange and take home 10 frozen meals. It has been so great! Twice a week I don't have to think about what to make. It has also been saving me money because I don't need to go to the store as often. All of the food has been good so far. The girls in the group are all good cooks and try to make the best recipes they have.
I brought this basket, Pasta Bake and Apple Crisp.

The exchange,This is what I took home! Yum.....

White Christmas Performance

Keaton had his Show Choir Christmas performance this week. It was really cute! He did a great job. He is having a lot of fun being in show choir. He wasn't sure he wanted to do it but he is glad he did now. I'm sure you can all guess why he likes it. Could it be all of the cute girls he gets to dance with? hmmm..... The numbers are definitely in his favor since there are only 5 guys in the choir! He is a good singer and he is taking guitar lessons too. Hopefully he'll get opportunities to use the guitar in the future. We are proud of him for trying new things even when he's not sure about it.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES

GINGERBREAD HOUSES

We made gingerbread houses (graham crackers) for Family Home Evening this week. Jace and Marlie were the most excited about it. Keaton decided the next day that he wanted to make one too. Our ward asked people to bring them to the ward party for the table centerpieces, so we took them on Friday to the ward party. It was fun to see the kids get excited about designing and decorating their houses.

Bowling in Blackfoot

Anyone that has been to Blackfoot (and even someone that hasn't) can tell you that there isn't a whole lot to do in Blackfoot! To beat the boredom on Saturday we went bowling. I am not the best bowler but to everyone's surprise I won! I even beat my mom who has bowled in leagues. Connor didn't like it, it was too hard for him. The other kids had fun and they all did pretty good considering their limited experience.
