Like Father, Like Son.............

Jessica's Maternity Shoot

It's hard to believe that my first niece, baby Jessie is going to be a mommy soon! How did that time pass so quickly. I remember the day she was born, Aug.23, 1988. I went to the hospital to see her throught the window and then I drove to Provo to start my first year at BYU! Marlie and I went to Idaho to go to Jessica's baby shower. She wanted me to take some maternity pictures for her while I was there. I think they turned out really pretty, especially considering it was my first maternity shoot. I am excited for Jess and Joe. I think they will be good parents and love this baby so much.

Cupcake craze!

Yes, my curiosity about the cupcake craze has gotten the best of me! I have gone crazy experimenting with cake and frosting recipes! The have all turned out so yummy! I posted some pictures on Facebook and before I knew it I had 3 people ask me if they could order cupcakes from me! What? I wasn't planning on selling them, I was just playing around with it for fun. So last week I made $60.00, who would have guessed? We can use the money so I'm not complaining. I am just having fun with this new hobby. I really can't eat them because of my band but it is the creative part that gets me I guess. I also like seeing people enjoy my food, it makes me feel good.

Yes, I do still have a blog!!!

I know that I have neglected my blog so badly! I have resolved to do better from now on! I have basically skipped a whole year of our lives! I will be posting things on my blog that are old and out of order. I make a book out of my blog every year so I have a lot of catching up to do for that. This post is today, April 3, 2011. It was General Conference today and we woke up to over 6 inches of new snow! The poor trees and birds were in shock. Several of our neighbors had trees that broke from the weight of the wet heavy snow. My apricot tree started blooming this past week and now I'm afraid we won't get the apricots, I'm still holding out hope for more late blossoms.

This is a cool picture. It represents all 4 seasons. Dead fall weeds, winter snow, spring yellow blossoms and summer green grass! Only in Utah!
