CONNOR'S FIRST STITCHES

We were on our way back form Idaho and we stopped to see Grandpa and Grandma Hancock. I was pretty sleepy driving so I laid down to take a little nap while grandma was making dinner. I had just gotten into dream land and Keaton came running into the room to tell me that Connor cut his face and it was bleeding really bad. Connor had been playing on one of those big exercise balls and rolled off of it into the coffee table. It looked so bad! So I drove home, 40 minutes, and picked up Bryce so that he could go with me to the emergency room. Connor is deathly afraid of doctors, so I knew I would need Bryce to help me. They decided to sedate him because he was freaking out so much. The cut was right above his cheekbone, under his eye. He ended up with 5 stitches. His eye is starting to turn black now so he'll have a shiner to go with the stitches! I hope this doesn't become a familiar thing with Connor. I should have knocked on wood when I have said that I don't have an accident prone kid, at least I haven't had one yet!

SPRING BREAK 2008 !!!

SPRING BREAK 2008!!!

I took the kids to Idaho for a few days so that they could do something on their break. It turned out to be sooooo.. cold. So some of our plans got axed because we didn't want to freeze. One day we went to Idaho Falls. We went to the falls and fed the ducks. The kids love to do that. They wanted to stay longer but grandma and me whimped out because it was so cold. We also went shopping for a little while. We got home and had pizza for dinner. My niece Jessica and her fiance Joe came over with their dogs. Deisel is a St. Bernard. I think he is the biggest dog I have ever been around. You can see how big he is in the pictures! JJ is the other dog, she's kinda ugly, sorry Jess!

Saturday we went 4-wheeling at the gravel pits. Bob and Lori brought their 4-wheelers and gave the kids rides. Keaton was in heaven! All he wanted to do when we were in Idaho was ride the 4-wheelers, so his tripwas complete. He rode the 4-wheeler until it ran out of gas!

HE'S A TEENAGER!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEATON!! BIG 13

It's official, Keaton is now a teenager! AAGH!! He's been acting like one for awhile now so at least it won't be a sudden change for all of us. It is spring break this week so on Monday Keaton invited three of his friends, Devin, Ryan and Kaden to go to the Nicklecade and BaskinRobbins. He spent the rest of the day with them at Devins house, playing football, pool, etc.

Tues. night we went to the Olive Garden to celebrate his birthday. Grandma Johnson was in town visiting Great Grandma so they went with us. Finally today, on Wed. I got around to making his cake! so we had his cake tonight. We are good at milking birthdays around here! I am going to do another post with more about Keaton, later.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

I'm a little bit slow posting my Easter pictures! I'm always a little behind! Anyway.... We had a really fun Easter weekend this year. We had a neighborhood Easter egg hunt that I organized. We had it out in the park behind our house. We had a really good turnout. I think we had close to 100 people come. We had a potluck picnic after the hunt. I made 100 hotdogs and there were only a few left over. Besides being really cold I think everybody had a lot of fun.

On Sunday we went to church, as usual. Marlie and a group of kids sang a song in the Easter program. After church we went to Grandpa and Grandma Hancock's house to have Easter dinner with the family. Lynnette, Ryan and Shawn all came with their families. The kids dyed eggs and we had a little egg hunt for the little kids. It was a nice day. I love those days when I am surrounded by family. I feel so blessed to have all that I have, especially such a wonderful family.

OOOOOPS!!!!

Well St. Patrick's Day didn't turn out to be so lucky for us this year!! Bryce got in an accident while taking Keaton to school in the morning. He looked down for a minute and missed a stop sign. We feel so blessed that nobody was hurt. Two seconds earlier and Keaton would have been hit and probably injured pretty badly. We are blessed. The insurance totalled the truck, so now we are on the hunt for a new one. Bummer huh?
