Dyeing the Eggs

My little artists made some beauties this year! They had a lot of fun creating their masterpieces. Connor has a one tracked mind. All of his eggs had to be superheroes. There is a picture that shows his eggs, Spiderman, Hulk and Wolverine. They were so cute.

Rainy Egg Hunt

We woke up Saturday, the day of the big neighborhood egg hunt, to a very soggy morning. I thought we would probably have to cancel the egg hunt because it was raining but the rest of the neighbors wanted to go ahead with it. So it was a fast egg hunt because everyone was getting wet! The kids didn't mind of course, they just had fun!

First Wedding Shoot

I photographed my first wedding last Sat. It was a good learning experience and turned out to be a big challenge for me. The wedding was supposed to be outside but the weather didn't cooperate, it was windy and cold. They moved the wedding into the house and it was a big challenge to photograph anything with the cramped space and bad lighting. I did the best I could and I think they turned out pretty good. Thank you Randi for letting me document this special day for you.

Conference Breakfast

Saturday morning the ward had a kick-off to Conference breakfast. It was supposed to be outside but since it was snowing AGAIN!! they moved it indoors. The bishopric cooked pancakes and eggs and there was sausage and bacon too. Danielle M. was in charge of Apostle Bingo. I gave out the prizes and of course it got pretty competitive after a few rounds! What people will do for free candy! It was a fun morning and a great day. We enjoyed Conference this weekend. I am always so glad to hear the messages from our leaders. I always hear something that is relative to me and my life. I know that the talks that we receive are inspired and they are such a blessing to me.

Jace's 1st Grade Performance

I wish I could tell you all about Jace's school program but I only saw the last 30 seconds of it. I was running errands about 25 minutes away from home. I gave myself plenty of time to get back in time for his program. Due to a police chase and accident on the freeway the usual 25 minute drive took me an hour and a half! I was so sad that I missed his cute performance. He had been reminding me for two weeks that it was coming. He was so excited for me to hear the songs they had been learning at school. He doesn't know that I walked in right at the end of the last song. I just told him what a great job he did. Marlie was the photographer for me. Luckily Bryce was home in time to take Jace and be there for him. I feel these childhood years slipping by and I don't want to miss any of the shining moments in my kids lives. I guess I will get over missing Jace's 1st grade program but I still feel sad that I missed it.
Just a side note about Jace's size. If you are thinking that he looks a head taller than everyone else it's because he is! Doesn't he look like a giant next to some of these kids? They are all first graders, just like him. Connor (4) is the same size as some of these kids! It's weird how huge our kids turned out!
