Winter Days At Jumping Jacks

Megan D. , isn't she cute?

I'm trying to catch-up on some posts that I missed. I should have posted this back in Feb. Several friends in the ward decided to get a months pass to Jumping Jacks. It gets really hard to be cooped up inside all winter so we thought it would be good exercise and something to do.
Connor especially needed an opportunity for some exercise. He would get so sweaty and play so hard. It was a fun month!

Bryce's Birthday

This post is out of order, I forgot to post it back in January! Bryce probably felt like his birthday was uneventful. We didn't do anything special but I did try to make him feel special. I made him a homemade peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake. Let's just say that it was the thought that counts and the hours it took to make it! It didn't taste as good as I thought it would. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. He got a cake from the people at work and brought the rest home. He also got a Dulce de Leche cake from his M.A, Mary. He loved that! So I didn't feel quite as bad since he got some other cakes that he liked. Bryce and I went out to dinner to a Mexican restaraunt to celebrate, on Friday that week. Bryce deserves way more than what I can give him. I wish I could express to him how much I love him and how much I appreciate all that he does for our family. I hope he felt loved and special on his birthday.

Keaton's 15th Birthday

How can my first born be 15 ? Time is passing by too quickly! Only one more year until he is driving and dating. I don't think I'm ready for that. I guess I better start mentally preparing to deal with it!
Keaton wanted cherry cheesecake pie for his birthday "cake". He wanted a cell phone for his birthday but we are mean parents and are making him wait a little longer to get one. We said he could have one when he is 16 but we might give in a little sooner than that, we'll see. Since he couldn't have the cell phone, he wanted to go shopping at the mall and get some "cool" clothes. Keaton is a good kid and we are proud of him for choosing good friends and making good choices. We have the normal teenager problems, attitude, acne, grades, more attitude.... but most of the time he is a great kid and we are lucky to be his parents.

Socks, Socks and More Socks!!!

The Socks have officially gotten out of control! We have a perpetual sock basket and now it has doubled to TWO baskets. It's time to illiminate and downsize. I told the kids I would pay them a nickel for every match they made. They only got through about a third of the socks before they couldn't take it any more. The D.I is going to be replenished soon!

Connor's Art

Connor's art is amazing to me! (Of course I'm a biased mother) But really, he is 5, hasn't even started school yet and he is drawing pretty good stuff. He has started adding more detail lately like hair on Wolverine's arms! love that!

Wolverine, Connor's favorite and mine too.
Black Spiderman

Abstract paintings.....a bit Picasso like..
He said the one on the left is rainbow and the one on the left is a guy in a trap.

Valentines Day Misc

Valentine's Day usually isn't one of my favorite holidays but I have to say I might change my mind after this year. I felt the purpose of Valentines Day, showing those you love how much they mean to you. I made my traditional sugar cookies. Connor was so happy, they are his favorite! We have had him on a sort of diet, limiting snacks, sugar and white carbs. He was especially excited about the cookies and it was so cute! We shared some of the cookies with friends and that was fun too. Bryce gave me some beautiful flowers. I look forward to Valentines day for that reason, it's pretty much the only time I get flowers. Bryce and I went out to dinner to P.F. Changs, another V-day tradition for us. We saw the movie Valentine's Day and had a great evening. I love him so much, I'm so lucky he's my Valentine.

Is this the cutest Valentine you have ever seen? Connor made this and said it was a surprise for me. He said the boy on the side was him holding the sign. I just love this! What a sweet boy.

Barnett Choir at the Utah Flash Game

Marlie's choir was invited to sing at the Utah Flash basketball game. They sang "God Bless the USA" before the Payson High School choir sang the National Anthem. It was really neat and a great experience for the kids. You can see them here, standing behind the team.
