Our cute boy Jace turned 8! Every year on his birthday I can't believe he is the age he is. I can't believe he is 8! He is the sweetest boy. He is kind and loving and always wanting to make me happy. He is so easy going and never gives us any trouble. He has been such a great kid and I feel very blessed to be his mother. He had a fun birthday. He was so excited for his birthday this year. His teacher said that he about drove her crazy talking about when it would be time to do his birthday celebration in his class. He has had a new found interest in skateboards lately. We gave him a skateboard (and safety pads). He also wanted some "Tech Deck" skateboard toys . I asked him what he wanted for dinner on his birthday and he chose Barbque Chicken Salad. I was surprised he chose that but he does has very good taste in food. He likes just about everything, especially healthy foods, which is rare for a kid, like I said he is such an easy kid. He wanted a Butterfinger cake, another great choice! We had a fun celebration with Jace and are excited for him to be baptized soon.

Pumpkin Patch
We have a family tradition of going to the Red Barn's pumpkin patch every year. This year it was so fun because Melanie and Moe (and Casey) happen to be visiting from CA and they went with us. Shawn, Missy, Brinley, Cambree and baby Sadie went too. It was really fun for the kids to have their cousins come along. We rode the wagon out to the pumpkin patch and wandered around looking for the perfect pumpkin. The kids all liked petting the horse there. It was a warm, perfect fall day!
Halloween Fun
L to R: Owen H., Jace, Sam H., Blake H.. Gabe H., Jace A., Kate W., Drew W., Lilly R. and Connor. We went trick or treating with our friends on our street. It was so fun watching the kids get so excited. It was hard for the smaller kids to keep up with the big kids because they wanted to run as fast as they could from house to house. Connor didn't last very long because his feet and legs were hurting. He got plenty of candy though, more than one kid needs!
Jace the 80's rocker and Connor as Zorro! Connor said he'd be too cold if he wore his Nacho Libre costume" because tights are like nothing". Too bad he looked so cute in his Nacho costume!
Marlie trick or treating with her friends, Robbie, Emily and Emily's sister Abbie.
Connor's stash.
THE SCHOOL PARADE
Marlie and Emily, the hippies. Marlie took Connor around the parade route with her class. He looked so cute in his Nacho Libre costume!!
NACHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Pumpkin Carving
Okay, I am a little slow getting Halloween posted! I haven't had any time to blog lately. September and October were full of photography appointments and I didn't have time to to much of anything besides pictures. So here is the pumpkin carving event. Keaton decided that he wanted to participate with the family this year and joined us in carving. Connor didn't want to touch the pumpkin or help much. He didn't like the way it smelled, funny huh? I never really noticed it had much of a smell. The pumpkins turned out great and we had a lot of fun making them!

Bryce had a baby brother that died of sids at about 7 weeks old. He was of course buried in CA. My mother and father in-law moved to Ut a few years ago and decided they wanted to move his grave to Ut too. They moved him to Ut and we had a grave dedication at his new resting place. It's hard to imagine what the family would be like today with another sibling. I wish he was here to be an uncle to my kids and another great brother-in-law. Someday I'll get the chance to know him along with the rest of the family. He hasn't been forgotten and his parents and siblings still miss him.

Connor Turns 5!!!
Our big guy had his birthday and now he is a big 5 year old! It was no surprise that all he wanted for his birthday was Wolverine toys. He got some Wolverine things but we also got him a Radio Flyer scooter. We wanted him to get something that would help him get some exercise. Of course we did X-men cupcakes. He told me I could just put X's on top like the X-men sign. He is so cute. I am trying to remember to enjoy him for this last year I have him home. He is my little buddy. It will be weird not having him with me all of the time when he goes to school next year. He missed the age deadline for school by 7 days. The cut of is Sept.1. I'm glad though because I'm not ready to let him go yet. I think he had a fun birthday, We love him so much!
