Trip to Zions

We are in charge of the Hancock reunion next summer so we decided to take a trip to Kanab to check out some options for the reunion. We hiked Zions and it was amazing! We all loved it, even Connor did the hikes without complaint. It was me and the kids first time ever going to Zions. Keaton couldn't go with us because he was at football camp, we felt bad that he missed such a great trip. We found a place for our reunion in Kanab and we are so excited to go back next year!

We didn't get too far up The Narrows hike. The water was at a record high and got chest high or more on adults. So Bryce went a little farther with the kids than I went. I had to stay back and protect my camera. I was worried I was going to fall and drop it.

I love this spot! Doesn't the rock look awesome? This is where I want to do the family picture next year for the reunion.

Another Great May Trip!!

I had another perfect trip to see my friends in California! We had so much fun! I stayed with Melinda and got very spoiled. She treats me like a queen, something I'm not used to at all. She took me to get a pedicure after picking me up from the airport. For dinner we got P.F. Changs take-out, because she knows it's my favorite. Another day she took me to get a massage and then we went to the country club she belongs to, Boulder Ridge, for lunch and Dana went with us. Linda, Dana, Melinda, and I went on a two day trip over to the coast. We went to some of our favorite places, Pacific Grove, Point Lobos, Bean Hollow Beach and Monterey. I loved every minute of this trip and being with my girlfriends. It is such a downer to come home and know I have to way a year to go back and see them again!

This is a grilled salmon club with avacado. It was the BEST sandwich I have ever had! This is what we had for lunch at the country club.
This is the best meal I have ever had! It is sea bass in lemon butter sauce, au gratin potatoes and fresh vegetables ,mmmmmm. We go here every year when we are in Pacific Grove.

This super cool starfish washed up onto my foot when we were see glass hunting. It was the first time I saw a live starfish at the beach. I through him back to safety after taking his picture!

This is where we almost died! The tide came in and we were trapped. We made a run for it when the wave went back out but it was scary, we couldn't tell how deep it was or how far it was to get to the other side. It was an adventure that day at the beach!

We toured Lula's chocolate factory and got to wear cool hair nets.

Keaton's 16th birthday

It Happened! Our baby is 16!!! He has been anticipating being 16 for so long, he could hardly wait! He is so happy to be a legal dater, and driver.

New Year, New Determination!

Ok, so it's been 6 months since my blog has seen my face. Sorry blog, I have neglected you and I feel bad about all of the things I have failed to record and preserve. I have a new determination to do better. My goal is to post every Sunday. As for the year I've lost..... I am going to post some highlights! Here are some of the highlights of the year 2011.

Where do I start?

I have been such a slacker with my blog! I have great intentions from now on to catch-up my blog and post regularly. This blog is supposed to be a weekly journal for me but for the past year or more I have not been keeping up with it. So sorry for anyone that is blogging with me, I will be doing a lot of catching up! I am thinking that making up a years worth of "happenings" is just going to be too hard. So my plan is to start from May of this year. I will make a photo book for 2010-2011 and skip the blogging step!!!

We are beginning the last week of summer vacation and it seems like we didn't even have a summer. We have to pack some fun into this week for sure! These are the most recent photos I have done. This adorable baby is my good friends Tad and Sarah Warren's new baby Mark. I was privileged to be at his birth and photograph it for them. I love them and feel so privileged to have been there for such a private, special moment. He is the cutest baby!!!
