Jace's 1st Grade Performance

I wish I could tell you all about Jace's school program but I only saw the last 30 seconds of it. I was running errands about 25 minutes away from home. I gave myself plenty of time to get back in time for his program. Due to a police chase and accident on the freeway the usual 25 minute drive took me an hour and a half! I was so sad that I missed his cute performance. He had been reminding me for two weeks that it was coming. He was so excited for me to hear the songs they had been learning at school. He doesn't know that I walked in right at the end of the last song. I just told him what a great job he did. Marlie was the photographer for me. Luckily Bryce was home in time to take Jace and be there for him. I feel these childhood years slipping by and I don't want to miss any of the shining moments in my kids lives. I guess I will get over missing Jace's 1st grade program but I still feel sad that I missed it.
Just a side note about Jace's size. If you are thinking that he looks a head taller than everyone else it's because he is! Doesn't he look like a giant next to some of these kids? They are all first graders, just like him. Connor (4) is the same size as some of these kids! It's weird how huge our kids turned out!

Twilight Weekend

As I'm sure everyone knows, Twilight was released on DVD this weekend! My girlfriends and I have been waiting for the DVD so we could have a Twilight party. It was released Friday night at midnight. It is almost embarrasing to admit that we actually went out and got it at that hour! My friend Gina actually bought it and I just went along for "support". I'll eventually buy it but I'm too cheap to pay full price for anything! So we ended up having a really fun party on Saturday night. We all brought really yummy food and had a great time drooling over Edward again! The best part for me was just being with my friends. I have the best friends and I am so blessed to have them in my life. They give me hope, love and laughter that keeps me going day after day. There is a saying that I love it says, "No matter where you are, it's your friends that make your world". So true! I love my friends, the ones close-by and the ones that are scattered around the world that I rarely see. I have been so blessed in my life to have made true friendships that have stood the test of time.
So anyway...... it was a fun get-together, we are always looking for an excuse to have a party!

Cousin get-together

Saturday we had a cousin get-together at Bryce's brother Shawn's house. Cousins that live in Las Vegas were in town for the Draper Temple dedication. They had fun playing and goofing off for a few hours. I'm so glad that my kids have cousins that they love. I came from a really small extended family. My dad is an only child and my mom has one brother. So I only had 5 cousins. My kids have so much fun at family gatherings because of the friendships they have with their cousins. They have 20 cousins all together (so far).

Erin, Keaton and Victoria, all age 13.
Tyson and Jace, both age 7

Connor, Tyson, Jeff and Jace, showing me a Superhero pose.

Jordyn, Marlie, Brinley, Claudia and Cambree. They put on a fashion show for us.

Safe kids fair

Last weekend we took the kids to the expo center to the Safe Kid's Fair. The main lure for us to go was so that Connor could see Siderman. When Spiderman came out he ran out spraying crazy string for his webs. It was so funny, Connor was so insulted that we had been telling him that it was going to be the real Spiderman. He said, "That's not real webs! He's just in a costume!" Can't trick a true Spiderman fan! So we left the Spiderman arena and walked around to see the rest of the fair. There was firetrucks, law enforcement vehicles, poison control, immunizations etc.... all stuff to keep your kids safe. It was a good, free, family activity.

It's Spidey!

Not so sure about seeing Spiderman.
Connor in the firetruck with hit fireman hat.
This was a gadget that shows why you need seat belts even in a low impact crash. Pretty effective, they didn't like it though.

LEAH
This was a really fun and easy photo shoot. Leah was a great subject, isn't she cute? I think Senior pictures are my new favorite shoots! I have to give a big thanks to my friend Gina for helping me with some photoshop editing. I will be so happy when I am good enough with photoshop to do it all by myself.
